Great Cabin!
Picturesque cabin with great amenities! Didnt want to leave.
Family Trip
Beautiful cabin with lots to do. The four master suites are terrific and lots of room for kids too. Close enough to nearby attractions to keep everyone busy.
The most perfect place to stay in the mountains
If you love the mountains and especially the mountain rivers and creeks, then this is the perfect place for you. I have stayed here 2 years in a row over fall break with my entire family and my daughter's dog It is so private and secluded we did not have to worry about the dog disturbing anyone.
House is amazing (only the house)
The house is truly stunning! Beautiful and sits rite on the river! The biggest problem is we arrived at night and it was storming pretty bad! We were driving a 15 passenger van. We were unable to actually stay at the house because the driveway is so steep and the turn to get into it we would have never made!!! We would have ended up in the river!!! By the looks of things, someone had already ran into the fencing they have around the driveway. It is tiny and very steep!!! If you go off the side your in the river! We went back the next day after having to rent a hotel for the night and were able to make it down to the driveway but had to park at the top and walk down to the house (which was not fun cwalking back up). We had to leave because it started raiinging again and I wasn't sure the van would make it out! So needless to say we didn't stay there at all, visited the house for about an hour! I wish it would have stated how bad the terrain was to get to the house and we would have never wasted our money! We have visited Gatlinburg several times and never had this problem. So just a warning do not rent during bad weather and make sure your driving a smaller car and you wont have any problems.. The house is stunning and the river is amazing! Thats really all I can review since we didn't actually stay!
I am sorry to hear you had issues with the driveway, had I known I would have sent someone out to try and help you.The driveway is steep but I have never had anyone to run into the fencing or anything. Sometimes when people are worried about the driveway they park at the top and walk or have someone else to drive the vehicle down. Again I am sorry to hear you did not get to enjoy the cabin and the river. We do have other properties and hope to hear from you again in the future.
A Great Getaway Location For The Whole Family
This cabin has a great setting located right on the river with almost full seclusion. There was plenty of room for all to have their own space with the 4 large master bedrooms and a lot of nice amenities like large outdoor spaces to relax in including the swin spa, fireplace, hot tub and the creek. The younger kids loved playing in the tunnel system and the game room. Very close to Gatlinburg (15 minutes) and Pigeon Forge (25 minutes) where a ton of activities of all types are available.
Best Cabin Around
Million dollar cabin with the preferred location on the river. No complaints.
Wonderful vacation
Great time close to everything. Cabin beautiful. Something for everyone.
Loved this cabin!!
So clean! Loved the cabin!
Beautiful house!
Enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and each of the bedrooms was beautiful. Liked the swim spa and puppet stage. We had one problem and the rental office showed up within 10 minutes and took care of it. There were some minor issues with the home conditions that prevented giving five stars.
Good Time
Excellent cabin, enjoyed the stay
Clean; well decorated.
long walk to downtown.
When the swimming spa was not functioning, repairman arrived quickly and repaired it swiftly.
Awesome and beautiful!
We had an amazing time at the Queen of Gatlinburg cabin. It was large enough to accommodate 8 adults and 4 children comfortably. The game room was lots of fun for the kids, and everyone loved the swim spa. The cabin is extremely close to downtown Gatlinburg and all the action. We also enjoyed the short drive to the park and all the hiking areas. We would definitely stay here again. It was a fantastic experience. Thank you!
Great time!
Great
We'll likely be back!
We loved it! Thinking about same place for later this year again. Worked perfectly. Thanks so much!
Very nice cabin close to down town too!
The cabin was wonderful and everything went great on our trip. Location is a plus!
Wonderful stay at the Gingerbread House
Great stay! Everything was clean and they came everyday to blow the leaves off the walkway to the house and porches. The beds are super comfortable. I highly recommend the Gingerbread House. - Tom Kennerly
Comfy, Cozy, Close to Town
Everything was clean and worked. Real wood fireplace was terrific! The beds were extremely comfortable (brought our own pillows).
Very cozy for us four adults. LOVE the sofa!
Handle was broken in hot tub and pillows were missing from the corners. Kitchen could use a butcher block island. Counter space is minimal and not much cabinet space. Stove needs attention.
We would stay there again. Thank you Diana!
Loved the place
We really enjoyed the time we had in this cabin. The spot you have to park in is a little tricky due to the curve in the road if you want to leave out a certain direction you might want to figure out how to back in. The roads our very curved and some stop signs and then climb a hill made it rough on my car lol. This cabin is beautiful but WATCH OUT for HUGE SPIDERS. We seen a bear and that was nice. If you have a fur baby there is not much area for them to go to the bathroom and bring pop bags to clean up after them
Large Cabin Great Amenities View Location
Close to Gatlinburg slopes and downtown, clean, spacious, well-appointed. Beautiful cabin, enough room for family of 6-8.
Gorgeous, large, comfortable, beautifully appointed cabin
From the moment we stepped foot inside this beautiful cabin we knew we had found out forever vacation home. We have stayed more than a dozen times in this same area and while each of those cabins had their own particular charm, this is the first one that exceeded all expectations The space is large-the owner could easily have made it into a 4 or 5 bedroom home but wisely chose to keep it as 2 very spacious bedrooms, each with their own separate living/game/media space and enormous bathroom. The main floor consists of the kitchen and main living area with powder room and laundry. We stayed a week and prepared all our meals in the modern, user friendly kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with all the appliances and utensils you need, even a cockpot and blender! It does not have any codiments such as oil, spices etc that some cabins have. You will need to bring those things with you or buy in town as we did. The drive up to the cabin is easy (although you should plan or arriving in daylight if you are not familiar with the ski mountain road area) and the flat driveway is fantastic! We called the office one evening to inquire if there was a DVD player in the house-we had not been able to find one. Marshall met us at the grocery store where we were renting a red box, just 10 mins later with a new DVD player! That is incredible customer service!
Less than 5 mins up the mountain to Ober Gatlinburg and 5 mins down the mountain to town. Great location on side of mountain overlooking the surrounding mountain tops, with 3 large balconies. Our family of 2 adults and 3 young teens had ample space to spread out and feel at home and we looked forward to seeing the familiar red roof come into view as we came around the last corner after our daily adventures.
Thank you for opening your lovely home to us. We look forward to seeing you same time next year.
Very clean, beautiful cabin!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Buckberry and might consider coming back at some point as well! The only thing we didn’t like (and maybe it was in the description and I missed it!) was that there were not any bedrooms on the main floor- you have to go up or down stairs to get to the bedrooms. We have a toddler so that was a bit of a chore- and if anyone has any disabilites or bad knees I don’t suggest it. But we loved the two master suits (perfect for two couples!) and the walk in showers. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of room! The balconies on all three levels were so nice as well. Not much room for our dogs to roam and do their business either but we made it work. Not hard to get to or find. Definitely enjoyed our trip and would recommend this cabin to anyone! All of our friends who were in town (we were here for a wedding) were jealous they loved our cabin :)
Great Cabin!
We stayed in this cabin for six days during Thanksgiving week of 2018. First, the layout of this cabin really is wonderful. You have a master suite on the lower level with a TV room; the kitchen, breakfast bar and great room with a fireplace on the middle level; and a master suite, game room, and hot tub on the upper level. All three levels have fantastic decks with great views. This layout is extremely well suited for groups or families. Everyone can have their own space as well as a central meeting space for eating, etc. The bathrooms are large and the upper floor bath has a HUGE walk in shower that we did not want to leave. The beds are very comfortable and there are plenty of blankets, sheets, etc. Additionally, this is a very well appointed cabin. It has all of the small kitchen appliances you might want as well as a nice assortment of dishware, cooking instruments, and utensils. Every part of the cabin was super clean, including the hot tub. I've been traveling to the Gatlinburg area for over 30 years and this is not always the case when renting cabins. Lastly, the location is super convenient to the both the park and downtown Gatlinburg. We will definitely stay here again.
Great views!
Perfect for 2 couples, 2 master bedrooms
Beautiful spacious cabin, amazing views, great location, everything you need!

This cabin had plenty of room for 6 of us - we loved that our family of 4 could sleep on the bottom level and our parents got the top level so we didn’t disturb them! Great tv areas for relaxing, game room to entertain the kids, and a hot tub on the top deck for the best view! We also loved the spacious flat driveway - our kids were thrilled to be able to ride their Big Wheels around!
MOUNTAIN PATRIOT
It was nice. Even saw a 🐻
Good choice
Great cabin!
This is an amazing cabin. My children loved it! They had so much fun. Every day we would spot a bear on the driveway. It was wonderful. The cabin is very close to downtown Gatlinburg (about 10 minutes). We made some great memories. Love, love, love it!
Hopefully, we’ll be back soon. The whole family had a great time.
Steep Driveway
Had a blast on the games downstairs
Loved this house!
This place was perfect! Loved the location, loved the view, and loved the bears! The reviews read about the drive way...yep its steep but it's the mountain's, it's suppose to be steep. We had bears every morning and evening hanging out in front of cabin! My father in law spotted the arcade games and we loved those, played probably every 30 mins to an hr. Overall we loved this place and had a ball!!!
Beautiful cabin and even more beautiful view!!
I absolutely loved the beauty of the cabin itself and the spectacular view!! It was so peaceful even with town being 3-5 minutes down the mountain. Loved being able to relax and watch the wild bears looking for food in the front yard while enjoying my coffee in the morning and my spirits in the evening!! Absolutely would rent this cabin again!!
loved loved it
We visit Gatlinburg from Illinois twice a year for a short getaway. Even tho this adventure was three days of raining and didn't get to enjoy the town but the cabin was wonderful. The design, décor and cleanliness was top notch. I did have to go buy batteries for the living area tv remote due to not working. Only complaint I would have is the driveway. Thank god we brought our truck and not my car. It was a steep one. Overall minus the driveway it was a 10 in my book. we will def book again .
CREEKSIDE CASTAWAY
Outstanding, if you are looking to get away from it all
First, I want to address the comments re the road to the property. Yes, it is a gravel road, but it is not that bad, and you are going for a get away? Backing out of the driveway is a bit nerve wracking the first time you do it, but it is not that bad unless you have a REALLY wide vehicle, use the turn around just past the house when leaving. The house itself is awesome! Very well upgraded, granite countertops everywhere, furniture I did not feel "yucky" about sitting in, tremendous views, excellent all around. The bedrooms are a bit strange with the coverings over the beds, but otherwise great.
My wife, who has two knee replacements, was not able to get down the spiral staircase to the main bedroom, but that is life.
Wonderful river side, a little more attention to detail of cabin is warranted
The constant sound of the river, & sitting on the deck above the river, was wonderfully relaxing. We knew it was secluded & enjoyed not being bothered with sounds other than nature. I was surprised that spider webs had not been washed off of the high windows; this took a little bit of the ambience away. The downstairs bed post was exactly in the middle of tv viewing for the person laying on the window side of
The bed. The bedroom on the main floor had extremely dusty “tent” over it & the ceiling fan did not work properly.
Driveway is Horrible
The cabin is great, right on the river. The driveway to get to the cabin is a nightmare. Only wide enough for a car or small SUV. You have to drive by a house on the way that looks like they just throw their trash in the front, side and back yards. And when I say you drive by it I mean you are so close you could roll your window down and touch the house. Then you have to go past the cabin you stay in, turn around on the side of a hill. It was like a 7 point turn. Then go back past the cabin and back uphill into the driveway with a 30-foot cliff on your left.
Had I been told about this I would have chosen a different place to stay. All I was told is that a dually truck would not fit in the driveway and to go past the cabin turn around and back into the driveway.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am glad to hear you enjoyed the cabin, but not the driveway/parking area. It is large enough for two cars, but your right it is narrow. You can pull in the parking area and then back out, or you can go up the street and turn around and then back into the parking area. As for the house on the road on the way to the cabin it is not pretty. They have started cleaning up a little, but I have no control of that property. The road is gravel and narrow getting to the cabin but once you are there it is very peaceful sitting by the river. I am sorry you had issues with the parking and hope you will try one of our other properties for your next visit.
Lovely cabin for a quaint vacation
The cabin was very clean on arrival, we loved being able to cook and stay there as a family and make our vacation memorable! The appliances were in great condition and added a huge level of convenience! We enjoyed the hot water for showers as well as a relaxing hot tub! We recommend giving future occupants a heads up for the amount of centipedes that find their way into the cabin on a daily basis. The water has a strong sulfer odor for which we used bottled water to cook, make coffee and brush teeth. The location is nice and remote but in return the closest store is 24 minutes away. Just be prepared to get what you need when you go out! After just a day and a half of rain the gravel road (which is the only way to the cabin) was threatening to become impassable as the water level in the creek/river rose at a very rapid rate. Our kiddos loved the foosball table on the 3rd floor of the cabin!
Loved it. Home was beautiful and clean! Views and river amazing
Secluded and tranquil
Beautiful place!
The drive out there is a little nerve wracking, but it was beautiful and peaceful once we got there!!
Awesome close place to stay for couples
I will deff be back! I’m walking distant of the strip it’s a long walk but I did it in the winter and it was fine. The cabin is great had everything I needed/wanted.
Our piece of mountain heaven
Great cabin, perfect for 2. Loved hearing the river. Totally enjoyed the hot tub. Shower was fantastic.
.
Cozy cabin. Comfortable bed. Beautiful sights ans sounds of the river. Great location
It was everything we thought it was
I expected the pictures to make it grander than it was, but this wasnt the case. It was everything i expected and the easy private check-in was great! Even though it rained the whole time it was still beautiful!
Good location
Great little cabin for a couples weekend getaway.
Simply Amazing!!!
😍😍😍😍
GREAT bed!!!
Overall, we loved our stay. There are many little things that could have been better, that may be deal breakers for others. 1-The drive up to the cabin is NOT fun. The roads are narrow and curvy and you can only turn into the driveway from one direction. Do NOT rely on google maps, it brings you in from the wrong direction, follow the directions they email to you. 2-if playing pool is the main reason you picked this cabin, you will be very disappointed. There is no chalk, the cue sticks are all warped, and there is not enough room on 2 sides of the table to play unless you are willing to move furniture. 3-the mismatched light bulbs are just annoying. 4-there were lots of little things that were broken. We reported them as soon as we got there and noticed them...broken rocking chair, broken lamp, etc.; however, they immediately offered to replace/repair items. They did not affect our stay, so we did not have them corrected. 5-The bed is SO COMFORTABLE!!! And we are mattress snobs at our house. 6-The shower is great, but bad water pressure and we could do without the weird light show that happens when the shower is on. 7-The sauna door was off track, so it wouldn't stay shut, which made the sauna virtually useless since it wouldn't hold the heat/steam inside. 8-Bathtub was GREAT!!! Hot tub was also good. 9-Appreciated the complimentary dish soap and hand soap. 10-Check in and out was a breeze. 11-It was private enough that you felt alone; however, not private enough that one would want to go skinny dipping in the hot tub ;-) 12-Driveway is narrow and steep. NO KID CHANNELS!! And they supply some movies on DVD, but no kid movies. 13-Also, there was another bed downstairs that was not mentioned. There was a king bed upstairs, a full size fold out couch and twin size fold out both downstairs. We would definitely rent this again, overall great time.
Wonderful
The cabin was great, just a few minor issues, water pressure wasn’t all that good, ceiling fan didn’t work, driveway very narrow, other than that, we had a great stay.
BEAUTIFUL
Absolutely beautiful home. Peaceful and we look forward to visiting again
Very nice place - Excellent location!
Very spacious house! Landscaped and decorated very nicely. We do not play pool, but for those who do - a very nice pool table! We did use the sauna and the hot-tub. Both seemed to work flawlessly. In fact the wife complained I had the hot-tub too hot! We turned it down to a compromise for her. I should also add - ALL the jets appeared to working at full function. There is a grill there as well - but we weren't too keen to use it as there seems to be a healthy population of bear in the area. We saw 3 in the immediate area and clearly heard another one by our cabin (later confirmed by a neighbor who was watching a mother w/her 2 cubs). I don't know the exact mileage it is out of Gatlinburg, but it's a very easy/close drive to traffic light 10 (the first light outside of Great Smoky Mountains park). We live approx. 12 hours away - but we are certainly thinking about another visit to this cabin in the spring.
The Cabin was all we could asked for
First let me say thank you to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and had high expectations. We arrived to an extremely beautiful cabin that was immaculate. The first evening we got into the hot tub which we couldn’t seem to get the jets working. The next day we called and Jeremy was prompt about getting there and with a simple twist of a knob, we had jets. He was a delight as we all had a chuckle that we couldn’t figure it out and it was so simple. Our stay was wonderful and even though it was a little early for the fireplace, they accommodated us by turning it on so we could celebrate in front of the fire. The Parkside Escape was all that it boasted and we had a wonderful time. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate this very important occasion in your beautiful escape. We loved it all, the hot tub, fireplace, large bed, and oversized shower were all perfect!
Beautiful cabin with all the extras!
This cabin surpassed our expectations. My wife and I were originally headed to Hilton Head, SC but had to divert last minute due to hurricane Florence, so we found this gem and decided Gatlinburg was our new destination. The owner responded almost immediately which was much appreciated as time was a factor for us. The cabin has a beautiful wrap around porch complete with swing, rockers, hammock and hot tub. It seemed to provide much more privacy than other cabins in the area. The interior was far better bigger than we expected. The kitchen was large and all appliances are modern. Past the kitchen is a wide open area housing the pool table (which was in great shape) and a nice dining area with great views. Then there is the family room with TV atop a newish gas log fireplace (we didn't use it, but had it been colder it would have been the perfect addition to the comfy living space). Upstairs keeps getting better with a dual head spacious shower, sauna, and soaking tub. And then there's the bed. I don't know what kind of magical store that thing was purchased from but It may be the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on at a rental property. It is only about a 10 minute drive from the property to downtown Gatlinburg. The road to town puts you out right by the cheapest parking lot in town ($5 all day), "Old Dad's General Store" for snacks and essentials, and "Bennett's BBQ" which was very decent and VERY cheap. We had a small issue when we found there was no latch on the bear proof trash can box, but one quick call to the property management company and it was fixed. So that brings us to the bears. They are everywhere! We even had 2 snacking on some berries right out the front window. That made the trip! In closing, we LOVED this property. We rent a lot of cabin type properties all over and it is a general rule that we never stay at the same property twice. This is the property that will bend that rule as we are already looking to secure dates to stay again next year. Rent with confidence and look no further, this is the place.
